Wakaliwood (for Paris Match - with journalist Sophie Boutboul)

In Wakaliga, a slum near Kampala, Uganda, film director Isaac Nabwana has created his own « studios » of action movies: Wakaliwood. He has gathered around him a faithful crew of actors and technicians and even an american producer who dropped everything in New York to support this african cinema initiative. Wakaliwood movies have a strong home made flavor and their success on the Internet is growing everyday!
